Credits explained: what a month of job hunting costs
Applybound charges for work, not seats. One balance of credits covers everything the team does. Here is where credits go, and how to make a month of searching fit your plan.
What a credit is
1 credit equals $0.01 of metered usage. Two kinds of work use credits:
- AI work — scoring matches, writing CV variants and letters, drafting replies, explaining offers. Charged by the AI tokens used.
- Supplier items — the things some steps need from outside providers: browser minutes in your consented session, CAPTCHA solving, rented phone numbers for account verification, and residential proxies.
Viewing matches, approving, editing, downloads and calendar files are never charged. If you bring your own AI key, AI work costs 0 credits and only supplier items apply.
Plans and packs
| Monthly credits | Price | |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 1,500 | $0 |
| Pro | 6,000 | $19 / month |
| Max | 20,000 | $49 / month |
Packs add credits that never expire and are used after your monthly allowance: Starter $9 for 2,000, Plus $25 for 7,000, Pro $60 for 20,000.
Budgeting a search
A tailored pack typically costs a few dozen credits; browser applying adds a few credits per minute. A focused search of a handful of high-quality applications a week fits comfortably in Free. If you apply broadly across browser-lane platforms, Pro or Max gives you headroom — and the coordinator never exceeds the daily budget you set.
When a pack beats a plan
If your usage spikes for one month — a burst of interviews, a relocation — a pack is often cheaper than upgrading, and the credits wait for you if you do not use them all.
Every credit spent appears on your Usage page with the agent, the task and the balance after. See pricing · Start free
